Job Requirements

You must possess or obtain a Japanese driver's license.

 

Main Duty 

• Driving children for our preschool, after-school program, and English school

• Transportation routes are within Yokohama, generally within a 7 km radius of the school

• Most trips involve pick-up and drop-off at nearby elementary schools or students’ homes

• Are confident in safe driving

• Enjoy working with children and can interact with them warmly and positively

• Would like to make good use of gaps in their daily schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in everyday English, which will be useful when interacting with teachers

• Childcare certification is a plus

About the Workplace

We are a privately operated English preschool, after-school program, and English conversation school. We are rooted in the local community and value making a positive contribution to it. Our school has a small, warm, and family-like atmosphere. Teachers communicate in English, and you will have natural opportunities to interact with children in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Working Hours (Shift System) Not limited to:

1. 7:00-9:00 AM (morning transportation)

2. 1:30-3:30 PM (afternoon transportation)

3. 4:30-6:30 PM (evening / after-school transportation)

You may work one shift or combine multiple shifts depending on your availability. This is an ideal position for making use of free time between other commitments.

Days Off / Holidays

There are no transportation duties on Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays.

Summer vacation is approximately two weeks.

Golden Week holiday is approximately one week.

There are also no transportation duties on school closure days in accordance with the school calendar.

This schedule makes it easy to plan your private time.

Additional Opportunities

During times when there are no driving duties, additional work may also be available depending on your English ability. This may include assisting preschool teachers, supporting the after-school program, or helping with other classroom-related tasks. This is optional and is a great fit for someone who would like to be more involved with the children and the school environment.

• School vehicles will be provided for transportation duties
